Maharani Arts & Science College

History of the College

Maharani Arts & Science College was founded in the year 2000 by the Maharani Educational & Charitable Trust, Dharapuram, with the noble objective of providing quality higher education to the rural and semi-urban youth, particularly women. The institution is affiliated to Bharathiar University, Coimbatore and recognized by the Government of Tamil Nadu.

From its inception, the college has upheld the ideals of inclusivity, uniting students beyond the divisions of religion, caste, or creed. Over the years, it has expanded its academic offerings to include a wide range of Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Add-on, and Research Programs, catering to diverse fields such as Arts, Science, Commerce, Management, and Computer Applications.

The college is supported by a highly committed management team, a dynamic Principal, and a dedicated faculty, all working together towards academic excellence and holistic student development. It offers excellent infrastructure including a well-stocked library, modern laboratories (Physics, Computer Science, CDF), advanced digital resources, hostel facilities, and reliable transport services.

Various academic and co-curricular platforms such as Placement Cell, Women’s Welfare Cell, NCC, NSS, YRC, RRC, Fine Arts Club, and specialized training programs for TNPSC, CA, and Bank exams have helped shape countless students into confident, skilled, and socially responsible graduates.
