At Maharani Nursing College, Dharapuram, we maintain a disciplined and professional learning environment to ensure academic excellence, personal growth, and community well-being. All students are expected to follow the rules and regulations set by the Indian Nursing Council (INC), The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, and the college administration.

General Conduct

General Conduct

  • Students must uphold the dignity, integrity, and ethical values of the nursing profession at all times.
  • Polite and respectful behavior toward faculty, staff, peers, patients, and visitors is mandatory.
  • Any form of misconduct, insubordination, or disruption will invite disciplinary action.
Attendance

Attendance

  • Minimum 80% attendance in theory classes and 100% in clinical/field training is compulsory as per INC norms.
  • Absence without prior permission will be considered unauthorized and may affect internal assessment marks.
  • Students must report to classes, labs, and clinical postings on time.
Dress Code

Dress Code

  • Students must wear the prescribed uniform during academic sessions and clinical duties.
  • Personal grooming standards must be maintained: neat hairstyle, trimmed nails, and no excessive jewelry.
  • Identity cards must be worn at all times within the campus and during clinical postings.
Academic Integrity

Academic Integrity

  • Plagiarism, copying, or any unfair means during examinations or assignments is strictly prohibited.
  • All assignments, projects, and practical records must be completed and submitted within the stipulated deadlines.
Clinical Training

Clinical Training

  • Students must follow the hospital rules during clinical practice, including patient confidentiality and safety protocols.
  • Attendance in all hospital postings, simulation labs, and skill assessments is mandatory.
  • Negligence in patient care will result in disciplinary measures.
Hostel Rules

Hostel Rules

  • Residents must adhere to hostel timings, entry/exit logs and visitor policies.
  • Ragging in any form is strictly prohibited and will lead to rustication and legal action.
  • Cleanliness and orderliness must be maintained in hostel rooms and common areas.
College Property

Use of College Property

  • College infrastructure, library resources, lab equipment, and hostel facilities must be used responsibly.
  • Damaging college property will result in penalties and replacement costs.
Anti-Ragging Policy

Anti-Ragging Policy

  • The college follows a zero-tolerance policy against ragging in compliance with UGC and INC regulations.
  • Any complaint of ragging will be addressed by the Anti-Ragging Committee immediately.
